Costa Rica Nature Pavilion



Day 4: Sarapiqui Nature Boat Ride, Puerto Viejo, Nature Pavilion Wednesday, October 09 
The Costa Rica Nature Pavilion was established by Dave Lando, an American expatriate with a
strong background in tropical agriculture and a deep commitment to habitat restoration.
He applied his research by planting a variety of carefully chosen native trees and plants
on a sizable piece of land he acquired in the Caribbean lowlands of Costa Rica. This
initiative allowed him to successfully recreate several small ecosystems on his property
which now hosts over 230 bird species, including migratory ones.
